I’ve been away for two months. Not just from this space, but from the version of myself I thought I needed to be.
For the better part of a decade, I poured everything I had into corporate America. I climbed, I achieved, I excelled, and I burned out. Completely. The kind of burnout that doesn’t just touch your work; it seeps into your bones, your relationships, your sense of who you are beneath all the titles and accolades.
So I did something that felt revolutionary for someone like me: I stopped. I took time. I wandered through Europe, not as a tourist checking boxes, but as a woman remembering what it feels like to simply be. I sat in cafes without agendas. I walked cobblestone streets without destinations. I let myself feel the full weight of what I’d been carrying—and then, slowly, I began to set it down.
A Season of True Vulnerability
This break wasn’t a sabbatical or a strategic pause. It was survival dressed as self-care. It was choosing my humanity over my hustle. It was making life-changing decisions that my heart needed. And in that space—messy, uncertain, but deeply honest—I found something I’d forgotten: my voice. Not the polished, professional one, but the real one. The one that knows rest isn’t laziness, boundaries aren’t betrayal, and sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is admit you’re not okay, and that you are not happy.
Life to a Teee is back, but it’s coming back different. Because I’m different.

What This New Season Holds
This isn’t just a podcast returning, it’s an invitation into the conversations we need but rarely have. The ones about identity beyond achievement. About leadership that includes leading yourself back home. About love that starts with how you treat your own tender, tired heart.
Our first episode features the incomparable Simi Drey, and we’re diving into the thing that changed my life completely: motherhood. Not the Instagram version, but the raw, (sometimes tearful), transformative, identity-shifting reality of becoming responsible for another human while still figuring out how to be responsible to yourself.
An Invitation
If you’ve ever felt like you’re succeeding on paper but struggling in your soul, this season is for you. If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to redefine success on your own terms, to lead with vulnerability, to love with intention—even when it’s messy—then pull up a chair.
We’re going to talk about the things that matter. The things that change us. The things that make us more human, not less.
Thank you for holding space for me in my silence, and thank you for being here as I find my voice again. Different, deeper, and more my own than ever.
With love and intentionality, Tope
